I Have the Golden Touch

Have you ever heard of NaNoWriMo? Well, neither had I until quite recently. I heard about it via A Cat of Impossible Colour and signed up to Andrea's Nanowrimo group today. Basically, the aim is to write 50,000 words during the month of November, be that a novel or a collection of short stories etc. Visit the site for more information - I'm brand new to this!

Don't you just love it when you come across a new blog filled with lots of lovely, inspiring pictures? I stumbled upon Sweet Nothing this morning while eating my breakfast, and instantly added the link to my ever growing list on Google reader.

The weather is absolutely miserable today. I feel like I may have forgotten what the sun looks like! All this week I've been getting up at the unholy hour of 6.30 to help my boyfriend get ready, because if he were to be left to his own devices he would never make it to the hospital for ward rounds at 8am (he's studying to be a doctor!). It's already painful to drag yourself out of bed when it's still as black as night outside but pouring rain and freezing temperatures make it that much harder. Plus, for the past hour or so I've been contemplating how I'm going to get to work today without drowning...

I adore this little dress. It's from ASOS and it was a bargain at £8, and I think (or at least hope) that it's quite cute and flattering.

My boyfriend took me out for dinner last night. Okay, we only went to TGI Friday's for burgers (mine was absolutely smothered in cheese - it was heaven!) but he was paying so I had no complaints. I haven't had much time for posting lately because I just started my new job. I'm just working at a cinema (Multifunctional Staff Member is my official title) and I'm still in training but I'm not sure if I really enjoy it. I've been a bit naughty and accepted another job in a cafe up the street from me. I've got my first shift there on Friday so after that I guess I'll make a decision. I've spent months looking for a summer job, with no luck whatsoever and now Uni's started again I have 2. It's so typical!
